DU Player — Privacy Policy

DU Player ("the app") is a media player that plays video playlists and streams that you provide by signing in to your own media server. The app does not host, sell, or supply any video content. This policy explains what the app handles.

Information the app uses

• Sign-in details (your server address, login, or a pairing code) — stored only on your device and sent only to the server you choose, to load and play your media.
• Device identifier — a random per-install ID used to manage your session and, if your server offers it, to sync playback position across your devices.
• Playback position — how far you watched a title, so you can resume it.
• Advertising identifier — see "Advertising" below.

Advertising

The app may show ads supplied by Google AdMob. With your permission (the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt), AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to show more relevant ads and measure them. You can decline, and can change this any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Google's handling of this data is described in Google's privacy policy. Ads may be disabled for certain licensed servers.

What the app does NOT do

• It does not collect your name, email, contacts, location, or photos.
• It does not host or provide any media content of its own.

Third-party services

To show artwork, cast, and localized titles the app may request public metadata from The Movie Database (TMDB). Ads are served by Google AdMob. Video and images are loaded directly from the server you sign in to.

Data retention & deletion

Sign-in details and preferences live on your device and are removed when you log out or uninstall the app. Any playback position stored on your own server is controlled by that server's operator; contact them to remove it.

Children

The app is a general-purpose media player and is not directed at children under 13.
